About Us

Ceramics Western Cape is the premier association representing the clay community of the Western Cape. We have our roots in various potters formations starting more than 5 decades ago and whilst grounded in our core vision and mission, we have been open to morph and change, much like our medium of clay, to meet the evolving needs of our members and the arts and crafts and social landscape that we are grounded in. 

Our flagship events are our Rondebosch Potters Markets, Imhoff Potters Markets (both take place twice a year) and our Annual Members Juried Exhibition. Alongside these we are inaugurating two new exhibitions from 2026: Functional Forms and Ceramic Spotlight.

Anyone may join for access to our regular events such as our popular Potters' Markets, Practical Ceramic Workshops, Webinars, Newsletters, Exhibitions and Social Events. Any member may also volunteer to serve on the organising committee or to assist in producing any of our events.

Ceramics Western Cape also partners with like-minded individuals and organisations for mutually beneficial partnerships that enhance our membership offering.
